Room Use Practices
Availability & Capacity and Time Limits
- The Lounge, Fellowship Hall, and Sanctuary are available to all St. John Church ministries, committees, and task forces
- Rooms may be reserved through the church office by the chair or secretary of the ministry, committee, or task force [office@stjohnchurch.net, 859.261.2066, ext. 201]
- The chair or secretary shall ensure adherence to room use practices
- Lounge: 8 people; Fellowship Hall: 20 people; Sanctuary: 70 people
- Rooms are booked for 90 minutes – attendees must then exit the building
Health & Safety
- Masks are optional when you are seated and physically distanced
- Following these practices outside groups may be considered. Contact: Pastor@StJohnChurch.net
In-person Worship
Before Worship
- Masks are required when you enter, move about, or sing in the church house
- Masks are optional when you are seated in a pew and physically distanced
- Enter the church thru the accessible lobby or Fairfield Avenue doors
- Listening devices are assigned or available by request
- The nursery and upper level are closed
During Worship
- Masks are optional when you are seated in a pew and physically distanced, except when you are singing
- Vocalists (1 to 5 singers) do not need to mask when performing with physical distancing
- Communion is distributed by individually wrapped gluten-free elements
- Offering plates are on tables in the front and back of the Sanctuary
After Worship
- Remain masked as you exit and enjoy conversations outside
- Exit thru the accessible lobby or Fairfield Avenue doors
- The pastor will greet you outside
