Holy Week

Sunday April 14th
10:30 a.m. Palm/Passion Sunday Worship – (Pre-service music begins at 10:20 a.m.)

Palm Sunday worship begins with a procession led by the Chancel Choir and children as we remember how Jesus modeled an alternative entry of God’s reign of peace in contrast to Rome’s reign of empire. Join the festive parade in the sanctuary and launch into worship together as we begin Holy Week.

Thursday, April 18th
7:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday Worship – (Pre-service music begins at 7:20 p.m.)

We recall Jesus’ command to love one another in the lesson of Jesus washing the disciple’s feet – exemplifying service to others. All are included around the communion table remembering Jesus at the last supper with his followers. The service is led by the pastor and Chancel choir, including the ancient Tenebrae, a service of darkness with Scriptures of desertion and contemplation – facing the cross and reflecting lives of following Jesus.
