From the Pastor – Trans Legislation Speak Out

During Palm Sunday worship I called for action to respond to the Drag Queen story time and bingo events push back, and the hate Trans legislation that now exists in Kentucky and Ohio.

I feel our St. John ONA (Open and Affirming) values need to be heard in a public and on-going rebuttal to this now-established hate against God’s LGBTransQIA+ people. My first two steps for an on-going Speak Out rebuttal are:

1) Write a ‘Pastor’s response’ for my monthly article in the Bellevue News and send that article to other area publications as well.

2) Hold a Zoom meeting to brainstorm and organize a variety of ways to Speak Out against this hate-filled legislation. You are urged to attend this Zoom meeting on May 17, 2023, 7:30pm.

Will you join me?
If so, respond to Pastor@StJohnChurch.net and I’ll add you to the email list.
Please respond no later than noon on May 16, 2023.
