The Gospel According To The Simpson

On Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. (June 14th through August 30th) the Youth & Adult Bible Study class (Room 102) will be watching The Simpsons. Yes, really! How did The Simpsons, one of the most popular television shows in history, go from being attacked by many religious leaders for its lack of family values to being called one of the most theologically relevant programs in prime time? The answer may surprise you. Religion journalist Mark Pinsky tackles that question in his book The Gospel According to the Simpsons. You do not need to purchase or read the book to participate in the class. Just show up any week that you are available. Pastor Keith will facilitate the series. BYOCoffee!
